Series one Simon, so none of that future!Simon/becoming 'normal' through love,/could be a hero, stuff. This is the Simon I fell in love with. Creepy fucking psycho in training pervert nutjob... Sometimes, I worry. Great changes in pacing with the music and the clip length and clip content. Showing both his loneliness and desire, as well as his violence and consent issues. Definitely shows that pitiable, human side of him as well. Also, I love the part starting from 1.00 with insane!Tony and laughing!Sally. It's utterly creepifying.

Awesome look at violence and gender in Lots. Read the vidders note. Brings out some of the terribly fucked-upness of the show's sexual politics, and the Kahlan/confessor/'make you want it' section is just WIN. And if you haven't yet, follow that link to 'Doll Parts' as well.

The Slayers [fuck yeah]
This is fucking BRILLIANT. The song is absolutely perfect, (and yes same song as in the previously recced SPN Jo+Ellen vid. But it works perfectly for both.) The clip choices are epic, love the matching with 'gift'/'price'. Really, really awesome, drawing the links between all the slayers all the fighting and the wonder and sacrifice. GORGEOUS.

Slow Down Ghandi, as narrated by Chief xD Okay no, I lie, it's more than that. I love the opening section with everyone listening to the radio. All the disaffected and the powerless. There's a gorgeous energy to it, due to all the movement, especially in the instrumental sections. But it's not just the movement in the clips, the whole vid is about movement, change, revolution, it really really comes through. Brilliant meshing of technique/song/source/theme. The whole lip-syncing/speech parts are wonderful.And oh wow, that final scene and the alternate story it creates.

This is absolutely amazing. Cally's POV is really well articulated, very convincing. Bringing it together here says it a lot more clearly than canon ever managed to. (I love how vids can do that, turn the story into this one magic emotional punch.) I love the repeated touching motif. (song is another earworm)

It's a vid that's basically made up of show-audio voiceovers. My pet hate, yet it works very well! There are some really good lines. Makes me so nostalgic for season one. I miss SAM'S HAIR. I really do. I've realised I'm looking out for oldhair!Sam clips in all SPN vids I watch. Um, but in a less shallow way... It's got the whole, epic family thing going on, the hunters on the road, just us two against the world. I think it works well. Not just as a freeze-frame capture of the way it began. But also as a 'realtime' look back, No matter how much (Dean) they want it, it's never going to be the same, they can't go back. The two against the world, became three and then two and one etc. etc. and it's all broken *cries* ... *goes to watch again*
