I read this as a lot more hopeful than maybe other people did. This is the healthy threesome, as oppose to the Elena angstfest, and Katherine painfest. Caroline's got a great bounce-back-ability to her. That said there is an undertone of sadness at her leaving behind her human ( Read more... )

I was really glad to read that - I definitely wanted that emotion to come across, alongside everything she's lost. I think this is ultimately a better path for Caroline than she would have walked as a mortal, despite its unique trials.

It certainly did. I almost didn't realise the sadness until I read other people's comments and thought back over it. It's like I focused more on what she gained than what she lost. But I love that both interpretations work.

My thanks for the mention in your list! The western genre isn't all that popular, I guess.

You may (or maybe not) be interested to hear that apparently there's a episode in the works this season where the boys travel back to the Old West to meet Samuel Colt. (About time, no pun intended. We've been saying that since should have happened since Season One.)

You're welcome! The fic was definitely worth it :)

That is cool to know. I've pretty much stopped watching SPN, but I might have to make an exception for an episode like that!

It makes me so sad to admit that I mostly gave up also, when the focus changed and it got, well, bad. I still record it and rush through the episodes every once in a while. Painful. I wonder if this is what divorce feels like?

Cheers!

C.

Haha, I know what you mean! Not so much with SPN, admittedly. But with other shows, that way you feel guilty for not watching anymore -- "It's not you, it's me! ... Except, it is kinda you, actually" >_<.
