Didn't they already have 3 Sonic racing games before? What's the point for this one? To just rip off Mario Kart? Uh? But, oooh. Richard Jacques. That is indeed noteworthy. :D

I don't remember reading if Tolkien had any reaction to the (awful) Rankin Bass cartoons are not, but that game looks....ugh. : (

- Sonic Drift 1&2 (kart racing)
- Sonic R
- Sonic Riders 1&2 (hoverboard racing)
- Sonic Rivals 1&2 (platformer racing)

If they all count as racers that would make S&SASR the eighth Sonic racing game.
