12. The Matrix (1999) (I would maybe love it if I could forget Reloaded and Revolutions, but to forget is to forgive - and that I can't)

oh the last 2 Matrix films were awful. the first one was decent. i wasn't too crazy about the trilogy anyway.

i'm so glad LOTR made to number 2. if i didn't love Pulp Fiction I would totally want it to be no. 1.

Yes, I think the first three are just objectively correct! Perfect order and everything. (The way I understand the top 100 topic at least - Importance, influence, something to remember...) I get very argumentative when someone claims LotR are not really good films, because it's just fantasy bullshit. Yeah, but it's amazing fantasy bullshit. People need to stop confusing quality with genre.

I didn't get the Mr. Ripley either. I liked some of it but I don't know why it would be considered that great. Like the French version it felt the need to add a CRIME DOESN'T PAY endning.

I haven't seen Breaking the Waves and would love to hear why you hated it. I was never interested in it.

Yes, I didn't loath Mr. Ripley or anything, but I wasn't aware anyone thought that it added something notable to the original ( ... )

I'm really pleased that Blue Velvet was so high on the list. I would have expected it to be on there somewhere, but lower.

Dear lord, Breaking the Waves sounds absolutely dreadful! WTF! D:

Exactly, the 4th place is like it's the real winner here! I really should see it again, I only did so once...
