Holly's "It gets better" video killed me.

It's fun to hear about Bon Temps secondhand from Lafayette. I have to admit that I am curious about a waitress from Hotshot. More PTSD for Jason anyway.

Now I'll just have to wait and see if Thais is Nan's maker.

Haha, thank you! The Holly thing was planned. Thais I just made up. I imagine her exactly like this, though. For obvious reasons ;)

Holly's just a campaign worker right? Or is she more important, if her video matters so much?

In a previous chapter Tara noticed that Holly not only has a crush on Nan, but they've been hooking up. So Nan's main concern here is that she will feel the need for more sharing and reveal who she's been with - which is only her, and boys. So that would sound like the vampire is seducing "innocent, helpless" girls. Plus, she'd be outed.
I also imagine that in every campaign, things are much more planned than we can see from the outside. So every surprise can cause trouble.
Plus, it's a US election. I don't know this from my own country, but people over there seem to bring sexual orientation or gay marriage into everything, for some reason. Then the candidate has to balance corporate beliefs and the public. It's an interesting phenomenon. Sad, but good material for stories.

oh I see. In the US I don't think the press would care if a random intern was gay. Although it would have a field day if a candidate came out.

Yes, I thought so. But the main thing I was going for here was the possible scandal of the vampire seducing the campaign helper who just reached legal drinking age. As far as I'm informed, there's barely ever a female, unmarried minority candidate and vampires on the show have the reputation of being violent sexual predators, which is a reputation Nan has been fighting for years.
What I mean is, it would be irrelevant, if a certain intern came out, but if said intern spent long nights with Marcus Bachmann, people would go crazy over it. Now, Nan comes across as super straight and WASPy in public, but one gay-rumor and people would start to ask themselves why she's never been photographed dating a man.
