Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

One, two, three, go!

(Note: Idk if they're unpopular, but they'll be frank)

Wow, that's a hard one. I really like the fandom.

Okay, I'll focus on indeedsir.
1. The number of OT posts bugs me a little. Well, they have to do with J&W, I know, but a lot of them are random anecdotes relating to J&W and... /shrug.
2. They always accept that Bertie and Jeeves will get together flawlessly. And Bertie and Jeeves always fall straight into bed. I hate that.
3. They never *fight* in fics. Bertie never gets annoyed at Jeeves' meddling anymore. GRRR. It annoys me.

1. Agreed.

2. I completely agree with this. While it works for some fics and moods, they are 'two men of steel' to incorrectly quote Bertie. And they won't always get along.

3. See #2.

...now I'll have to write a fic where Bertie and Jeeves have an argument. Hmmm.

before I got too fucking depressed by the House season finale to write any more fics, I had been working on a Jeeves and Bertie story in which they did get into an argument and it was about something a good deal more serious than Bertie wearing some article of clothing Jeeves thinks is too tacky. They're already a couple but of course they had to be what in the 30s they would call "discreet" and what we would call "closeted" now. In my story, Jeeves is pissed and actually a little scared because Bertie did something impulsive in public that could be correctly interpreted as giving them away. (For any of you who might be reading this who don't know your history, in 1930's England, being gay was not only considered something really bad by mainstream society, it was actually illegal, so you had to be really careful.)

I'm not in the Bleach fandom at all. I just read the manga. Um...

But I can give three frank opinions about that.

1. They really need to stop the tough talk. "I WILL CUT YOU/KILL YOU"
NO YOU WON'T
YES I WILL
PROVE IT
OKAY
It's boring. Just fucking fight already.
2. Ichigo's father being a soul reaper came out of fucking nowhere and was kinda aggravating. There were just things that didn't *fit* it, and it was like... random plot point much? (I may be proven wrong later, I'm not much beyond that point yet).
3. Byakuya going "I'm gonna kill Rukia because I swore to my parents never to break the law again" was... well, principled, but STUPID. Honestly, she's your SISTER(-in-law), and you swore to protect her. To your *wife*. It was aggravating.

(PS Urahara is the shit)

1. The shipping wars are fucking ridiculous. The only fandom that's worse that I'm in is DW. The amount of hatred of other characters/actors is just fucking ballistic. It's full of really *rabid* fangirls, and I hate that.
2. His drug addiction is glossed over way too much in fics. I understand not wanting to ruin fics with it, but just mentioning it off-hand and then leaving it is... annoying. Also, Vicodin makes having sex a bit more difficult (it can cause impotence), but that's rarely addressed. Ditto for how hard having sex with his leg is.
3. House is waaaay too soppy in a lot of the fics. Somehow, the healing power of Wilson's (or whoever's, but I read House/Wilson) love makes him shit rainbows.

1. YES.
2. Yes, even though there are some excellent stories out there that do address these issues in a very realistic way.
3. G*d YES!!!

1. The shipping wars. The companion wars. The amount of "OMG YOU ARE WRONG WRONG WRONG". It's impossible to dislike a character without getting hated on, and it's impossible to defend a character someone else hates without getting hated on, and it's just really *rabid*. That just redefines insane fannishness.
2. The Doctor is painted as a fucking woobie too often. It's a shame. He's portrayed as this giant kitten, and he says "I love you" all the time and he never hurts anyone ever, and it's like... who the fuck is this guy?
3. He's portrayed as having a one true love waaay too often (ditto with Jack). People, get the memo: Doctor lives a long, long time. Ditto with Jack. He's gonna love more than one person. Esp Jack.

1. Shawn's OOC in almost all the fics I read. A lot of people just don't *try* to get his characterization right.
2. Lassiter ends up waaay too soft in a lot of fics. Too indulgent.
3. The psychic thing is always resolved with minimal fuss. WTF?

1. I know, which is why I've been stewing on my second Psych fic for a while now. I want to make absolutely sure I'm trying 100% to get him right.

2. YES. WTH. I love grumpy!Lassiter and shit. Makes Tim hot. Do not understand.

3. Don't get me started on this. Do people not realize the angst potential that this provides? I once read a fic that was doing a pretty good job until a day after Shawn told Lassi and he went to talk to him at Henry's house and Henry was all like "If you ever make my son cry again..." *sighs*
