Long and annoying MSNBC/Keith Olbermann video about Bush signing papers about never, ever, leaving Iraq.

Mal Reynolds once said, notably..."I'm confused, I'm angry, and I'm armed." Well, I'm not armed, but I am confused and angry by this. What the hell?

While on that site, btw, found this footage from St. Helens. Vernonia's been completely cutRead more... )

There's more than one similarity between Rimble and Loki, after all... :)

About Iraq: It just keeps getting worse.

Veronia/Flooding: I can so feel for those people, having gone through something similar. It's heartbreaking. Over and over again. All you can do is move all your family the hell away from flood plains.

Glad to hear the girl is coming home, and hopefully they will be able to give you both some good answers soon.

Iraq: You know, I'm still waiting for him to declare a coup and not leave office?

Flooding: interesting personal note. Kids'll be with their mom this holiday season, after all the intricate negotiations giving them to the Dad-ish sort for Thanksgiving, when Kim originally wanted Thanksgiving and they could have Christmas there, but he'd said he had both Thanksgiving and Christmas plans?

Well, they live in a rural little bit closer to the coast, so guess who flooded out? And the Dad-ish sort's mother is pissed...Why is she pissed? For no good reason--the realtor, she says, didn't TELL them they could get flooded out, so they never bought house insurance!

Yeah. Get that.

Only, what the realtor said was, it's not common, last big flood was in 1996. Which, sorry, means it does flood on occasion.

Just, y'know, every ten years or so. Which is what it tends to do.

Ten years or so from now? 'nother big flood. :)
