Haven't mentioned it here, but crymsin_lilly went into the hospital this morning, to have her thyroid removed. Apparently, her doctors are appalled, because--at roughly softball-sized--it was the single largest thyroid gland they'd ever seen. But she is recovering well, there were no complications, and she'll be coming home tomorrow

My Mum has a problem with her thyroid gland. It's kept quiet with Thyroxin, but the doctors have told her she'll need to be on Thyroxin for ever, basically.

Your friend's been mentioned here often enough. You care about her, so I offer you and her my concerns and sympathy, so as to help you both.

Your friend might have to look for sea salt from now on. It's for the iodine. :)

Actually, there's more iodine in iodized table salt than in sea salt, or so I've been told.
