re: "30" Rules. Dude, so much controversy over the gun thing, but no one questions the inclusion alcohol and caffeine or the complete lack of sex (unless the "street meat" comment is supposed to mean that we should frequent hookers). We are a strange culture sometimes.

I honestly think the streetmeat comment is meant to encourage us to befriend street people--and not just homeless, but...

...okay, case in point. When we lived in Denver we lived in a bad neighborhood. Capitol Hill at that point (and prolly still does) went like this: good block, bad block, good block, crack block, good block, omgscary block...like that.

We made friends with the drug dealers. A, they were everywhere, b, they asked us if we wanted drugs anyway, and c, because we were respectful, because we were polite, they watched out for us and kept the really bad predators away. This worked for us.

But yeah. Sex should've been on the list. And I'd expand it to 'know how to defend yourself, and be willing to', rather than 'learn how to use a gun'.
