But those plates... I kinda like them, in a tacky way.

Melamine, wonder of the FUUUUture. Actually, it's a cool way to bake plastic. Melamine tends to hold color longer, be sturdier, and not leach as many estradiols into water and food as less baked plasticware.

Sure, the fourteen-per-plate is daunting, but what the hell.
