well, I'm awake NOW...

Five minutes ago. HUGE crashing sound in the bedroom. Still don't know what made the huge crashing sound, because the second thing the cat jumped on was me.

I have five deep scores and three punctures on the inside of my right arm--ow, ow, ow, ow. All the scores are at least half an inch long, with the longest and deepest being three inches. ( Read more... )

I'm sorry you got mauled. :(

I'm also sorry to say that I really like that green polka-dotted dress. (But I really hate the men's stuff! Does that count???)

I'm sorry I got mauled, too. I have to consider bra choices very carefully today, because most of mine are T-backs, and that's right where the main back scrape is.

Still, there's no puffiness, no deep redness on any of the scratches, so yay, I have a healing factor at the moment. :)

Well, part of my antipathy for what is a nicely-constructed gown is that it reminds me of 1970's colors. Deep gold, olive, they're permanently attached to that decade in my mind, along with burnt orange and avocado.

Plus, maybe it's just me being picky, but one breast is being crushed to her chest, and the other breast seems to be missing, because there are lines across the right side of her bosom...maybe she's just coming out of a turn, or something, but that seems like a flaw in the dress design.

I see what you mean, but are you sure those aren't shadows or two different boob sizes (cuz my boobs are definitely not the same size, natch.)

I still like that dress, it makes me happy. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing, because it is kitchyfun like whoa ...

Well, and if you're just approaching it as prime kitsch, then you're fine--you know it's retro weirdness, it's why you like it, and there is a certain cool factor that goes along with honest appreciation of retro weirdness. :)

There's a reason no one hires cats to do wake-up calls. That sucks, dude.

Yep. Then I went to Free Geek and spent two hours in the Recycling department, prying open and unscrewing computer cases, and separating aluminum from steel, plastic from metal, and colored wires from the power supplies.

I now have two new scrapes, a new bruise, flesh missing from the heel of my right hand, and yet another band-aid. :)

Well, whomever it was is right, it is probably tulle, or at the outside, a sheer organza in weird multilayering strata.

Chiffon is teh sex? Only if you like scratchy itchy things during sex. :)

I suspect that this is picking nits, but I seriously doubt the first picture is white _chiffon_. It is too puffy and stiff looking for chiffon. I am betting on Tulle, or possibly Organza.

Still ugly though! :-D

Hope the cat scratches heal up soon!

Eh, it seems to be an LJ-specific thing right now.
