you know, we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy

I like the way this lady thinks. Cribbed from the original post on corsetry.

feryl_child is dying to try absinthe, but the illegality of it unnerves her. I can only repeat what I've said in the past: the Absinthe Buyer's Guide sells absinthe, and Americans can buy it legally. Absinthe can be purchased overseas and shipped here, it just cannot be bought from ( Read more... )

Yep. Zombies on parade. Usually there's some effort made to make them not look like the walking dead, but I guess the fashion mavens have given up.

I'm looking at the Crown of Pick-Up Sticks, and I'm thinking--grab a can of the standard game, go down to the dollar store and grab two packs of glittery pom-poms, drop by an office-supply store and get some green packing peanuts and some glue, and baling wire...and hey, you could make this thing.

But you'd want to...why, exactly? :)

Wow... the bikini model is really damn cute. First time I ever saw a catwalk model that actually looked like a woman:D

Yeah, that's part of why I grabbed it. I mean, she's thin, sure, but she's got curves and breasts and that magnificent butt...plus, that expression that says, "Hello, my mind is up here." :)

Maybe in Brazil they favor models that look like real women, not twig insects.

Okay, maybe I see things a little differently than most but the first "mosquito" girl looked to me more like she's just carrying her own water fountain with her and it's shooting too high. And I was thinking what a practical idea that must be, although I'd be calling for a plumber to repair that high arc. Then I saw that second version and realized that you were correct and it truly is mosquito season. Thanks for reestablishing my grasp of reality.

From that angle, though, I can see what you mean--it does sort of look like a walking fountain impersonation. But yeah, you really have to see it full-on to appreciate the effect.

Wonder if I can find anything else from that show... :)

Yeah, you know it's bad when they grow big enough to develop speech and makeup application... :)
