Judging by the invite I just got to the slam in which I'm not included on the straw team, I'm guessing this is no longer happening?

i get the sadness part. as a mesa slammer since the end of '97 it sounds more final than the closing of the essenza. on the other hand i have enough on my plate with sound effects that i will rebound quickly. we'll have to talk about the sound system.

I havent been able to support like I used to when I had a car (I'm not as good as Brit with the public transpo to get there. Plus I usually work Thursday nights. You'd think I wasnt there enough to miss Mesa Slam but somehow I have a bit of the sadness too. Mesa has been a corner of my poetry world since 2004 so I hope this change will be good for Anthology and Valley poetry as a whole.
