It causes you to lose your one and only 2 gig USB flash drive containing not only all your course notes, but important work-related files that really shouldn't be left to the general public's discretion. All this, after 3 hours of uneasy anticipation in the musty classroom waiting to get the hell out as soon as possible

hope you get it back soon, but for future reference, some of those usb sticks has password protection. the sandisk titanium has that... once you plug it in, it'll ask for password before you can do anything.

Just called the Extension's lost and found number, so we'll see if anything turns up from there. I didn't know there existed USB drives that are password protected - good to know for the future, thanks.
