I just looked at all of the answers for the previous post, an apparently no one likes cell phone usage in public, yet we're all a bit guilty of it. It's funny how cell phones seem to annoy the hell out of people. I think the point is that a cell phone encroaches on other people's privacy and space, whereas laptops, gameboys, and MP3s tend to not do

they annoy me a lot. i am always texting people, but i don't consider that as obnoxious.

I dislike them all for use in public locations. There are so many people that just don't interact face-to-face, the idea of getting to know others out of a shrug of there's-no-one else is just totally dying. I think it's killing our community life.

Maybe not that bad in some places in America yet, but certainly in larger areas it is. I hate the way the world is becoming both smaller/more social than ever, but more isolating than ever by those very same merits.
