Although I agree with a lot of what you are saying; I have to disagree with your assumption of Peggy in Captain America. I am by far an action girl at heart and a comic book fan but out of all the superhero movies that have come out so far I find Peggy's and Steve's relationship to be the most realistic. Peggy didn't start out attracted to Steve; I think that she found him intriguing compared to the other men that she had met in her profession. I think that over time her feelings for him developed into love. You also have to understand that although the movie portrays their relationship in only a few days time the reality is that they would have spent months maybe even years getting to know one another and developing a friendship. The issue with Howard and the female secretary was a perfect example of normal insecurities. Steve has had years of never being found attractive by females so of course he would think that a beautiful woman like Peggy would chose Howard over him. Peggy is used to being around men who think that their God's ( ... )
