Once ordinary ape descendants of the Old Ones' lesser experiments, made special by their patron, dread Cthulhu. Dru, the mutant, with her protean body, able to take the forms of one's dreams or one's nightmares; Kam, undead, unfeeling, invulnerable, indifferent; Luki, cold, swift as a fish, deadly as a stingray, hungry as a shark.
Every week, they are contacted by an avatar of the sleeping Cthulhu, and are given a mission to go and confound the investigations of humans, by showing them the true indifference of an uncaring universe, and make them as the Old Ones, wild and free and beyond good and evil, shouting and killing and singing in joy. Or mad.
