Captain America: Civil War

So, I went and watched Cap 3 and then got all nostalgic for the times I used to write review-y thoughts on LJ after I watched something (in fact, I think the last time was the Merlin finale, and wasn't that a laugh?), so decided to do that now.

Spoilery spoilers )

I agree with EVERYTHING!
I think that this was a great movie, my only disappointment was fandom had done it better, because fandom can focus on two or more years of healing, personal growth and establishing relationships from the ground up, specially with all the every-day-ness that would make a movie unwatchable except for hardcore fans, while in a film like this it was 80% action sequences, 5% establishing shots and only 15% just emotive scenes with no action whatsoever.

Yeah, I agree. I like that the action was at least plot-driven, rather than the other way around, but man, I could totally take another two hour movie that is just all the characters talking to each other.

Yeah! On the one hand, so good, on the other, wtf are all these other people doing here?!

Yeah, everyone in this movie lost someone at some point. Hugs needed.
