This morning, I woke up without a voice. Yesterday, I'd managed to accept a night shift on Sunday (it's hard to say no when they call out of the blue, okay?) so I figured I'd better call in sick ASAP so that they could get a chance to find someone new

I know! You really get the sense that TPTB likes this plotline so much more than the fans. Maybe they really like the actor who plays Walter?

It could have been really good, if they'd focused on Kate and on getting her back and on revealing more of her past. Instead we got...character development for a character that isn't even strictly speaking recurring?

Still sick, but at least I'm not feverish or anything. Gotten a slip from the doctor so I'm on sick leave til the end of the week. I SHOULD be well by then.
