...seriously? If I'm able to clean up after myself and a toddler (I've taught her to help me, too), then why can't others who do not have such obligations do the same?
Or perhaps I'm just setting too good of an example for my child? *shrugg*
It all boils down to The Golden Rule. Besides, if no one did their part, absolutely no public place would be in anyway pleasurable to be in. We have a hard enough time with bathrooms as it is! :P
(And speaking of bathrooms, I am finding the automatic toilets to be a horrible, horrible invention. Are they trying to mentally scar little kids who are just grasping the concept of using the toilet? It flushed while she was sitting on it once and it scared her so much that she didn't sit on a toilet again for 3 weeks. I need to get into the habit of taking a roll of duck tape wherever I go so I don't have to stand there in close quarters with my hand over the sensor. UGH!)

And also incredibly polite and in-tune with social procedures. Some people are ignorant, lazy, or both.
