Hori Sticks?

Mar 27, 2009 10:55

Anybody know of any stores that consistently carry Hori sticks for 360? Unfortunately the one store I was depending on isn't getting any in til mid April T__T Any stores that aren't an incredible rip-off would be appreciated XD;; Also can be either online or an actual retail store (if local, like around a 40 mile radius or so).

Nowhere. Amazon sells out in like 5 minutes every time a HRAP EX is in stock.

Amazon still has two, though one is being sold for like $4k?? Also there are two more on eBay for $280, but I'm just trying my luck since I don't technically have $280 to splurge (though shipping on the eBay ones are free).

Oh, I mean when Amazon itself has it, not a different vendor listed on Amazon. SF4 killed inventory for any kind of joystick for the 360. Even for the HRAP EX2.

Yeah, it's been crazy. I don't know if I should wait or just get the HRAP EX. I know there's the MadCatz one coming, but I don't know how it compares.

I wouldn't even bother with HRAP EX and ESPECIALLY not for $280... you can get a PS3/360 dualmod custom built for $280. MadCatz TEs are slowly trickling their way back and hopefully should be widespread by May, so if you can pre-order one now it'll be good. IMO the TE beats the pants off the HRAP EX at only $20 more.

The Hori EX2 is decent and the SC4 / DoA4 Horis are the same thing except with artwork.. I paid $65 MSRP for mine so you can use that a guideline to not get ripped off on EBay if you want to go with the cheap serviceable stick route.

Speaking of which, I should probably pre-order an MadCatz SE...

I'm looking more for an investment and less "cheap servicable stick" if that makes sense. Though now my main issue would be waiting til May to get a stick, since that pretty much means being stick-less for over a month or so =T

definitely get the MadCatz Fightstick TE then, if you can't. easy to replace everything, easily moddable, comes with all Sanwa parts already, has a nice weight and feel to it.

i only recommended the EX2 because it's the cheapest decent stick, like the T5 PS2 stick. i play the same on my EX2 and TE.
