Two things...

1) Elizabeth on The View gets on my nerves whenever politics comes up cuz no matter what, she always takes the side of Bush. Just cuz he's a nice person doesn't make him a good leader as he's had the lowest approval rating EVER.

So Palin is complaining about how the media portrayed her. My question is: did the media REALLY spin her image or ( Read more... )

Olbermann stated it first, but it bears repeating. There is nothing truer than a picture of Palin on the screen with the statement "How Obama Got Elected" underneath it.

I would say that in this case.. while a lot of what's been said about Palin is true, it did get taken to a point where her entire campaign just became a TMZ style media circus of what to exploit her on next. I love a good laugh here and there but this didn't just affect her campaign, it affected her overall reputation towards the American public. In that sense, I do think they overspun her image.

As for Elizabeth, well she's just a crazy bitch. Still pretty damn hot though.

I agree with the overspun thing. While her flop to the "What do you read?" question was bad, I thought that the answer she gave after she had "time to think about it" was a bald-faced lie. She reads the NY Times, Economist, and WSJ? I call BS.

If she had listed a couple of conservative or populist magazines / newspapers (National Review, Time, Christian Science Monitor), I wouldn't have batted an eye at the answer, but the NY Times is too liberal for her, the Economist is too wonky, and nobody outside of finance reads the WSJ (and real ballers read the Financial Times).

Honestly, I really think the reason she dodged the answer is 'cause if we heard about what she actually read on a daily basis it'd be embarrassing. Make no mistake, Palin is a batshit insane fundie. Maybe I'm seeing ghosts, but I really think that her reading list would be a little more on the crazy side.
