Day II - Favorite Movie
This is a pretty easy one for me.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
I saw this movie... three times?, when it was out in theaters. It is my absolute favorite movie, and something that always touches me whenever I watch it. Jim Carry is phenomenal in this movie and really shows he's more than just a comedic slap stick actor. I was, seriously, blown away by his acting. I love the relationship Joel and Clementine have, and I love how the movie reflects back upon it after they're broken up. They're real broken people just trying to find someone to be in love with.
Hard Candy
Can't watch this movie toooo often because of how intense it is, but man is it amazing. Edge of your seat, heart racing, twisted kind of movie.
Fight Club
My introduction to Edward Norton, Brad Pitt's hottest movie, my introduction to a Chuck Palahniuk story(which then lead to buying all of his books). It was filmed wonderfully, acted superbly, and I don't know, I just love it. I can throw this moving in regardless of mood and thoroughly enjoy myself, and I love the commentary on society throughout it.
If you want a movie that's currently in theaters that I am absolutely in love with right now, that's Shutter Island.
I know there's a lot of mixed reviews on this movie, but it went beyond my expectations, and was the first movie in a REALLY long time that left me feeling fully satisfied leaving the theater. DiCaprio is amazing, as always, and the story just takes you on this amazing journey. Its a little more surreal than some people may like, but I loved it. I told Dale it was a mixture of Silent Hill and Max Payne (the video games, not the movies) for me.
