Shadows Fic "Precipice of Darkness ch3"

So can't believe how crazy this year has been! But I bring you fic! Think of it as a belated V-day fic if you like (or an extremely early St. Patrick's Day present).

This one is probably mostly work-safe, though there is Schu snarkage. Some bad language. I'm sure there will be more smut shortly.... Just have a ton of plot to work through first.

I'm just gonna put it out there that I personally LOVE the chapters with plot. I thought it was great, and I actually think you could leave most of the smut out and still have a fantastic story. You've done such a good job creating this world that if you changed some names and altered some more blatant characteristics it wouldn't really be a Weiss fanfic anymore. I would like more please ^_^ (and perhaps Shen can finally have that chat with Crawford)

Thank you so much! I actually have a bit of plan for Shen in this arc, and you'll learn a bit more about him. I do so enjoy getting a lot of the plot out, but sometimes it is nice to have some moments between the boys. The plot always wins out, though.

I've been rereading shadows and I started to wonder: do you have a list ranking the power levels of the different bound characters somewhere? For example, how do the various earth elementals rank? I know Nagi's stronger than Rude. And Wufei's probably stronger than Gai given Duo and Trowa beat Shin and Gou. But where does Ed rank? And is Nagi or Wufei stronger? I'm currently in the middle of Storm warnings and I was really starting to wonder.

You know, that is a very good question. I have a lot of stuff charted out in my head and some stuff sketched out on drafts/lists, but not a real power chart of bounds. That might be a fun bit of writing to do one day, especially when stuck on a scene or when I don't have time for more formal writing. Maybe I can get it out w/ the next chapter!

There are some bounds who are similar in strength (like Ed and Nagi - their equal nature is part of the reason they don't get along very well), and what they can do with their talents makes them all the more dangerous than someone of an equivalent demon soul (which would be Wufei). Gai is weaker, and Rude is more of a middle strength (but again, he knows some pretty nasty tricks with his talent).
