Since LJ doesn't have a "button", I'm going to have to use words.
--I like your approach to Christmas gift exchanges. We've been opting out of gift giving for the past few years, and really like it, once we have that awkward conversation where we tell people we don't want gifts. Really, adult Americans do not suffer from a lack of stuff.
--I like your cat adoption stories, particularly about Cinders and Phoenix.
The Cinders/Phoenix story still makes my cry. It's so weird; he was taken from the pound to save her life, but he ended up saving his own.
I was trying to figure out why in the world i drove to the vet to cancel her follow-up appointment; I finally remembered that I was giving them the "leftovers" for them to dispose of or use internally - used syringes, unused syringes, insulin, uneaten prescription cat food. I wanted to get it all out of the apartment as fast as I could. She was a stupid cat, but she was MY stupid cat, and I loved her.
