FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST~.

YESSSSS, today be the unofficial start of Spring Break, everybody~! Yeah, Monday is technically when it starts, but I've got no more classes today or this weekend, so I'm declaring FREEDOOOOOM~~~.

Ahem. So yes, thank goodness for that. And for me getting another A on my most recent English paper. This teacher of mine I think is starting to figure ( Read more... )

Yay for freedom! Alas, my spring break was last week D:.

Getting A's on things is the best. I took a History exam before the break, and while I made an 87 overall, I got a perfect score on my essay, which so far this year I haven't been able to accomplish in history. That could be because I prefer this teacher's methods and tests compared to my last one, though.

Aww, I'm sorry you're stuck in such a lame video editing class. My Stagecrafting class is kinda like that, in that we don't do any actual work during it. We have to sign up for lab times. The class is lecture-only.

Ah, I really love that song soooooooo much ^^. I'm not sure if Gerard's my favorite, but I certainly don't hate his phantom (heck, my biggest complaint was the makeup for his face, and that's not his fault).

._. My school is lame in how late the break is compared to everywhere else...but yeah, at least it's finally heard. XD

Sigh, I guess the main problem is that it's a one-size-fits-all sort of class with people that don't know anything about video-making, people that know a lot, and people in-between...so to keep everyone up-to-date, the teacher needs to move slowly. >>

It is so pretty~. X3 Yeah, the deformation was really not bad enough...and not consistent at all (giant sunburn, what?)...but Gerard's acting of the role makes him the Phantom in my mind. :3

XD Yeah. Better late than never!

Yeah, that kind of makes sense. But still, my graphic design teacher in high school let me work ahead of the class, so I don't see why he can't bump up the speed just a little bit.

Indeed~. Yeah, really. I know they don't have to be as detailed as the theatre version, but come on!

Also...i-is that one of my icons?

*shrug* I wish it was like that...but I guess my school isn't very good at letting students do their own thing a lot of the time. The staff sort of has to assume we're all idiots (as...a lot of us are, really XDD;;).

Detailed, maybe no...but theatrical, hell yes. If anything your emotion should be twice as powerful on stage as it is in a movie because the audience can't always see your face. ><

The Thumbelina one? Yessssssss. :3

Belle and Jasmine! My second and probably my third favorite princess. That's neat.

Anyway! Congrats on your freedom! That's great. As is your recent 'A'!

Sorry about the Video Editing class, though. That sounds like a major bummer.

<3 They're mine too...I guess that makes me a Jaselle or something! With a touch of Snow. XD

Thanks, honey~...yeah, I am pretty disappointed...I'm just hoping the class won't be like this until the end of the semester. DX

Way to bring back some awesome memories!
I remember seeing it for the first time in the movie theater when I was 15. I think I do like Gerard better than Michael, just because he sounds a lot tougher. Oh jeez, I can't believe it's been over 5 years.
It's a terrible shame that no one's going to really remember him as the Phantom. All they'll think of is "THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!!!!!"

X3 Yeah, it has been an awful long while since then for me too...I didn't know anything about Phantom before I saw the film, so Gerry was the first Phantom I met, and even now he remains my favorite movie version and has the best Phantom voice I've ever heard. Admittedly the only thing against him is that the make-up artist reaaaally kind of failed in making his deformity actually be ugly and even just keeping it consistent. XD;;;
It is a shame a lot of his later work has overshadowed Phantom, though, I agree...especially some of more recent chick flick crap he's been bought into doing. ._.

Bounty Hunter, anyone? Jeez!
I had seen a stage production of Phantom when I was a little kid, way before the movie came out, and pretty much forgot about it as at the time I was much more into Les Miserables. But then the movie came out and I finally got it and fell in love with it. The soundtrack is still a welcome part of my collection.
Gerry's always going to be the Phantom to me. But I hear that he's in the animated movie How to Train Your Dragon. It looks good, so I think I want to see it.

I saw the show in New York after seeing the movie...it is a really good show on stage, for sure, especially with how creative the sets can get. X3 But I love the movie soundtrack so much better than the original cast...half because the quality of the orchestra is so much better, yeah, but everyone I think is better singing-wise for the most part...though I will admit Sarah Brightman's main high stuff at the end of Phantom of the Opera is better than Emmy's. XD;;

Is he really? I didn't even know that! I am thinking of going to see that too, though, after having seen the trailers...the idea wouldn't have grabbed me off the bat, but at least it seems to follow the track of Kung Fu Panda than some of the lamer stuff's Dreamworks has done since Shrek. XD

Spring break is a wonderful, wonderful thing. I have fond memories of my own~ XD I hope you have a good one!

Congratulations on the grades! It's always so gratifying to have good work recognized even if you are stuck in a class that's not quite on your level. Stupid standardized testing.

Aww, sorry to hear your Video Editing class is lame. Must be especially frustrating when you already know about it. Here's hoping it'll pick up soon.

It iiiiiiis. I don't know why my school is so friggin' behind the eight-ball, though. XD

Thanks, honey~! Sigh, I'm hoping after having done this class I can make try to take the test again so I don't have to take any more of these "Reading" classes (which really become more of Writing classes anyway) that I don't need. ^^;

It is...I mean, to be fair, I know very little about Final Cut Pro, but I do think I could figure it out relatively easily. I'm not as slow as Donkio or anything. >: I think most people could learn at a faster pace than this unless they, oh I don't know...don't know how to use a computer. XDD
