January 12th: Speak of the Devil

I luuuurve this *g* dark imagery is easy to write for some strange reason, and I think I've just exhausted my Remus' emotional capacity. I adored Lily in this, and well, I'm just incredibly happy with the way this chapter turned out. I didn't intend it to be that long, really, that just happened.

Yay! It was only like...a hour between reading chapter 11 and getting to read 12! :D

Theres one thing I noticed, when Rosier is telling them the way out he says, "up a fly of stairs" and it should be "up a flight of stairs" :B Some minor detail that does nothing to take away from the chapter :O! Phew, I wondered how they would get out of that one, and I was like "KILL HIM REMUS!" the whole time they were stuggling ^^;; Glad he didn't, but you know. I really wanted him too XD;; Lovely Sirius, you write him so well *_* Eeee :waits for tomorrow:

Ah, that's the good thing of being late, isn't it? XD

Thanks for the tip, I really hadn't seen that *goes off to change* Agh, I know I want the damn man dead too, but I checked his bio and he doesn't die until a few months before the Potter's murder, so I couldn't do anything about it :) *is obsessive with accuracy*

Thanks so much!!

It IS, but I wont do it again...curse your cliff hangers XD;;

Sure, no problem :B Ah poo, you have other plans for the bum :( Well, I admire your want to stay true to his time of death! I'll just picture Remus murdering him on the side. *cough*

You're so very welcome ^___^

I'm hours late to bed already... and after that, I think I'm going to have nightmares. Too much excitement and tension before sleeping is never good. But this chapter was worth it :D

I'm so absolutely in love with sweet little Remus that I actually teared a little at the "Avada Kadavra," because whoa, that's intense and not something you'd ever want to think he had in him. Daaaaaaaaark. Guh. And Sirius shoving him aside was like a violent crash out of that stunned "I can't believe he just did that!" moment.

Beautiful.

And again with the Lily love. I'm not sure that I've ever seen anyone write her better, and you manage it in all these little, understated moments.

Oh yes, he's definitely capable, only that he's got too much conscience and self-control to let go in a, uh, slightly less violent way.

Wee! So, so glad you like my Lily so much! I just adore her to pieces. :) Thanks!

*hyperventilates & whimpers weakly*

Damn, you are so cruel, Ale. I thought I was going to DIE when Remus said Avada Kedavra, or when they were discovered, aggghh. *still cannot breathe properly*

the ends of his robe tinting deep scarlet

*shudders* And the turning the body over with his naked foot, that is so Voldemort-y. You noticed him doing that in the GoF movie, did you? Ahh, one of my favourite scenes.

the wickedness in the voice turning his bones into such fine ash

Brilliant expression of the physical effect his voice has on them.

a bunch of mime-children with their hands pressed against thin air that just doesn’t give.

Oh man that's so... incredibly helpless and pityful and infantile and lost and doomed and ridiculous and... gah. I've got to have that. Please?

In the back of their heads, there’s a voice telling them they just wouldn’t make it against a full-trained Dark Wizard, so they fight dirty, security in numbers, five teenagers and an adult rolling in the filthy floors, wishing and hoping for a miracle. That ( ... )

Ah, thanks so, so much Anna!

Uh, I didn't remember about the Voldemort foot thingy, so probably it was a subconscious memory... And yeah, Remus is going to feel like hell XD I don't think there's too much chapters left, actually, or I'll eventually end up killing every single living being important to him. because I'm evil like that.

You always are the one you notice the little things I want to remark the most :) Yes, they're only teenagers, and they're too terrified to even think straight, so they wouldn't be brave and they wouldn't be powerful, they'd just be agressive. Besides, they haven't grown up like Harry, cheating death all the time, especially Lily.

Wonderfully written--I like how you incorporate the tension and fear into the entire scene. Lily more or less has been drug into the secrets of the boys, hasn't she? With Rosier announcing that Remus is a werewolf, and then Sirius transforming into Padfoot.

I've been following this since you started it, and I'm now de-lurking, as it were, to tell you how brilliantly you've written everything so far. Remus' grief and need for revenge is so tangible! And I have much love for Lily and Sirius. They're all written so bloody well!

Also, I found a typo... I'm a typo freak, don't hurt me. ♥

Peter takes Remus’ left arm and puts it across his own shoulders, and Remus can’t help but wonder just what he did to deserve knowing this too brave, too reckless, too amazing people.

Should probably be:

... to deserve knowing these too brave, too reckless, too amazing people.

I have much love for this series! Can't wait for the rest of it ^___^

Oh, thank you! de-lurking always feels so good, doesn't it? XD I'm so very glad you think the characters are well written, as that and the ambience are what I care about most when I write.

ah, thanks so much for the typo, I usually don't see this while I proof-read, and since I'm not beta-ing any of this they're just so easy to miss. :)
