I baked cupcakes today! Banana cupcakes with pecans and cinnamon and cream cheese frosting, actually. They're really really yummy and, FINALLY, kinda cute! I went a bit overboard with the food coloring, so the frosting is a bit ZOMG YELLOW, but they're still nice. :) YAYZ, especially after last week's fiasco, lol

Son las nueve de la mañana del día dieciocho cuando se sube al elevador que ha usado por siete años de trabajo en la compañía pero en lugar de bajarse en el piso cuatro sube hasta la azotea y camina hacia el borde, sonríe a los carros del tráfico matutino en la calle 28 pisos más abajo. Extiende sus alas, las mueve varias veces, probándolas, y es la primera vez que no las alcanza a ver en su vista periférica. Da un paso adelante.

Y vuela.

Mwah xD Me likes! Normally, I'm a bit afraid of wing!fic, because it gets Mary Sueish so easily. But this is lovely. The way you build it up. The ending. The surreal feeling, which can be explained away psychologically - or not. :D
