AH, NOSTALGIA

Nov 25, 2007 11:39

Exactly seven years ago to the day I started reading Prisioner of Azkaban, after a month of waiting non-so-patiently for the translation to arrive. I finished it at around 12pm. I loved every second of it and Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs continues to be my all time favorite chapter of HP. (the second being The Forest Again because it makes ( Read more... )

OMG YES! That chapter, too, is at - or near - the top of my list. I just loved the whole reveal of it all, it was so well done!

It was so... shocking! It was as if everything we'd believed to be true for the entire book was suddenly turned backwards, lol.

Which would be your other favorite chapters?

I know, everything was suddenly turned on its head -- it was wonderful! I think one of the main reasons why I loved PoA so much was because it wasn't a monster (ie: basilisk) that Harry had to go up against, but someone who had an incredibly emotional impact on his idea of his family. That, for some reason, meant so much more to me.

I'm not sure what my favourite chapters would be -- I don't keep track of titles and whatnot, but there are, of course, certain sections that I absolutely must re-read whenever I pick up one of the books. Those would probably be something like: the entire graveyard scene in GoF; Snape's memory in OotP; and yes, The Forest Again, with Harry walking with his parents, Sirius and Remus. *sobs*

I also have the first three books with the un-fancy font! I like it much better. Also, that's always an indication that someone might have read the books before it became cool. :D

Aleeee, what are you doing, I'm bored. We haven't talked on MSN in ages. Boo.

lol, I remember the incredibly big THRILL I got the first time I saw someone reading HP - it was in.... 2001, I think? Suddenly it was this OMG I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT KNOWS THESE BOOKS.

I'm trying to do homework, but it's not coming along. And I'm supposed to be getting ready to go to this awesome book fair (the largest in latinamerica! HEEE! Where I first got PoA, now that I think about it, lol).

What about you?

:D Yeah, and in the beginning it still felt like a special, secret community... oooh it was so special :)

Haha, I know that phenomenon... what do you have to do?

Ooh, book fair sounds good. There's one in Munich right now, but I don't really had the time to go so far. Maybe in December. *sighs*

Me, oh... I'm a little fed-up with a friend because lately she's always watching TV and I can't ever talk to her. :( Apart from that, I'm playing FreeCell, listening to music, trying to think of a story to write for which I only have the last line so far... I'm a little exhausted tonight. I studied a lot today, drove my parents' car for the first time, visited my grandfather in the ICU, didn't eat well, didn't sleep well last night. Oh well.

Yeah, everytime you got to meet someone into it it was like OMG LET'S BE FRIENDS FOREVER AND EVER AND WEAR SPARKLY FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS, K? XD

I have to do a label for a liquid chocolate packing, but photoshop refuses to coaperate, ugh.

Oh, what's the last line?

Woah, your grandfather is ill? o_O I hope he gets better.

My books are at my grandparents' because I "gave" them to my cousin. I'll take pictures when I go there, but I think now that I was wrong and it's the same thing. Mine doesn't have that red frame, though.
