I went to the movies all by myself (ah, the joys of no longer depending on people for some stuff) to see The Fountain, and I actually liked it quite a lot. To the point where I cried a bit. One of those movies that you end up kinda confused and not getting what the hell happened but everything else is just so beautiful that you just don't care (but ( Read more... )

Ohhh, I really want to see The Fountain. I haven't heard a lot about it, but your review makes it sound lovely.

Yeah, I didn't think TBD 1.02 was as good as the pilot either. It just seemed really slow, you know? And Tommy was kinda scary.

Do watch it! I don't know if it's the subject, but I haven't seen hardly any publicity for it... Hehe, my review makes it sound quite simple, actually - on screen, it's quite magnificent, the kind that feels larger than life and one has to wait a while to digest.

It did! It seemed to last hours, when usually 40 minutes go by quite fast. *sigh* I do hope the writers are just trying to find their rythm, though.

Do you enjoy going to the cinema alone? Is it better than when you go with someone?

I always go with a girlfriend of mine but she whispers and asks questions and it's SO ANNOYING when the movie is actually enjoyable.
I've been wondering whether or not to go and see The Fountain. I see it gets a thumbs up from you, so maybe I'll give it a go. Then I'll blame you if it's crappy. *g*

Have you seen The Hours? ^That sentence describes how I felt after watching The Hours. *loves*

Well, I've been doing it for a while now, and it's worked out pretty much fine for me. I do like going with people, but if they're not available, I don't sweat it anymore, and besides, it wasn't until college that I found people with similar tastes in movies - before that, all of my friends would say 'but I don't like seeing movies...' or 'but that seems to boring, let's see the pretty romantic one!' *eyeroll* And people continously ask me if I don't find it weird being all by myself, but I've never found it strange (it's actually quite comfortable, when one isn't in the mood for talking or whatev.), and once I was COMPLETELY alone in the room! KEVIN HAS KINDA WON MY HEART. Seriously, the banter, and the joking and the sarcams... Totally. I loved their sibling banter.

Haven't watched Heroes yet but I am throughly excited.

Hehe, it was so real, you know? Sans talking about where to dump a body, it could've been me and my brother bickering like every other day *g*

Oh, it was awesome, do watch it as soon as you can. :)

Kevin!! ♥ oh man, Kevin is just SO MUCH LOVE after watching episode 02. he was love before in that "puppy trailing after Tommy" way but now he's love all on his own! :D

dude. that perfectly describes what it's like to have siblings. man, i can't tell you how many times i was supposed to be pissed at my brother but he'd pull a face and i'd crack a smile. then it was all over. XD

Haha, I know, everyone was like 'oh, he's sweet. But Tommy's better.' And now everyone's like 'OMG HE'S AWESOME. And Tommy's scary o_O' XD

I've said/thought/yelled/whatever that SO many times at my brother. And he ALWAYS does it, the little bugger *g*
