Ultimate X-Men update: I can't begin to say how much I loved Magnetic North. Not only the writing was flawless, but Steve Immonen might be my new favorite illustrator for X-Men (and can't they keep him? For like, for good? Pretty please?). It was beautifully drawn, and wow, his inker and colorist are wonderful too. The Story was great! All that ( Read more... )

Ooh you're going to love it! It's all dark and twisted and pure brilliancy, even if the artwork is not really impressive. :) (eeeh, how are you liking Anansi Boys? Isn't it amazing?)

Let's Discuss This As Rational Adults
HP - Harry/Ron - Hippos - 50 Words

That’s a rhinoceros, claims Ron, of course not, that’s a hippo, you wanker, says Harry, and they argue, and they fight, and they wrestle and in the end, it’s not very surprising when Ron’s leg ends up between Harry’s and Ron’s freckles under Harry’s tongue - just like any other day.

Really? Don't remember? It's as if he had SIRIUS written on his forehead! (weeeell, not exactly, but that larger-than-life personality? Definitely alike) I love how the tone changes subtly all during the book, even if it's never as opressing as American Gods.

Haha, I was like, '...hippos. Mmm...' and then it hit me XD Glad you liked it, hon!

AND THE LIME! DON'T FORGET THE LIME! XD (I especially love it when Neil Gaiman himself starts rambling about how much he'd like it if people were to randomly give him limes). I hadn't thought about it, but you're right, both of them have that 'have matured and grown up' glow about them, in the end, how they've been changed along the way. I remember I smiled so much at that moment when it just says 'Charlie', and he finally earns his name. :)
