My mother has gone south to Terlingua with the neighbors for the Home Tour. I suspect they will have Tons O Fun, and it'll be a great chance for Mom to play catch up with Carol (and Allen if he went as well) since they've been absent from our neighborhood for many months

I never understood how people could straight-facedly argue that that it was the victims' fault in bullying cases because they were different. But I can see how parents might hear that from an expert and figure the expert knows best. Still--REALLY?

My dad is worried about me because I'm unemployed and taking the opportunity to write. I think dads do like their kids to have secure futures. It's just an issue of practicality--but it does make the more nebulous jobs like Arting a little hard to explain to them.
