This is the day that the Lord has made...

 Sen Obama began a speech the other day with those words: "This is the day that the Lord has made." He didn't continue the verse, though. Do you know the rest? "Let us rejoice and be glad in it." That is a pretty wonderful verse. Why is it so hard, some days? Why is it "the day" and not just "a day" because didn't the Lord make them all? But

I love that verse. I was talking about it just the other day...you know, THE day with the beautiful October-blue sky and the gold leaves falling and just brisk enough to wear a little bit of a jacket and just sunny enough to wear sunglasses.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Yup.
(I had no idea it had been used in a campaign speech.)
