[He swings the chair at Sten without finishing the thought.]

[He does falter on his feet slightly from the impact, and the chair shatters against his armor. Not a dent is left. Sten recovers, mildly irritated.]

Would you like for me to respond to that or shall we continue with our discussion?

[Charlie glares and throws down what's left of his chair.]

A soldier is identified by his tools. If he loses his weapon, then he has lost his identity. He must prove himself worthy to reclaim it.

And how does a "soldier" do that? Don't see no war going on.

A soldier is a soldier even in times when the nations claim to be at peace. We observe new locations for potential threats. We learn their customs, their culture, and therefore their strengths and weaknesses. We strategize. We fulfill our missions, no matter the obstacles. A soldier's duty does not simply end when the lines have been broken, and in turning from it he will always be incomplete.
