This was a really strange day- in the morning I noticed I had 5 voicemails from my parents- someone had called my mom and told her that I died in a car accident in Brooklyn, and that they had gotten her number from my phone. Then they tried to scam her for money. My parents weren't happy

LOL What the fuck? What a bizarre scam.. I wonder how they got your information? And how would they try to scam them out of money? "Hey, I'm here with your dead son on his cell, can I have $20?"
