voting for the Prez, genetic Armageddon, and subhumans

there are many issues to discuss in terms of who to vote for in this election. it's pretty obvious who i will NOT vote for, but i don't think many people really know why. i can sum it up in one weighty, all-important word ( Read more... )

There's a theory that the biosphere is sort of self-limiting. When one species gets out of balance or expands too far beyond it's range or food supply, another factor is introduced to bring that species back into line.

overcrowd rats? they begin to turn on eachother and eat their young.

Disease, starvation, predators... well, we don't have much to worry about in the way of predators, but disease? yeah. I can see that. Starvation? Malthus theorized that population will outstrip possible food production pretty soon.

yeah, i'm aware of, and a fan of, that theory, simply because it holds true for pretty much every overpopulation study done. population keeps growing, growing, outstrips resources and supply, then BOOM! exponential decay in population numbers. whee ( ... )
