Awesome start. Demons! I have to ask, is that what Lorne is (or partially anyway)? I like that John is still with Espinoza. I love the WMD remark and yay for Katie and Rodney. A house fire? That's terrible. I worry about that with my guys. That's my little guy Abram. Not so little though and he's 11 now but he still acts like a kitten.

Hurray, thank you for the teddy bear. I'll be interested to find out what type. I like Lorne and I feel sorry for him since stopping Koyla, mucked up his career. Although it's a bit of a toss up whether it was the mutiny or the not reporting Koyla to the higher ups fast enough that messed him up. I personally think TPTB just needed a scapegoat. ;)

I hope someday we get to see John's family because I'll be interested to see your twist to them. Is his brother a total jerk? Is his family like the Carringtons of Dynasty or the Ewings of Dallas? Is Dave going to show up on John's doorstep, daughters and wife in tow, asking for Sanctuary because he too became fed up with Clan politics with Dad in hot pursuit? LOL Is John's mom still alive? (I can't remember if it' mentioned in your verse, may need to go re read everything.)

The next story in the line up is titled "With Family Like This" and will give some more back story for John. And you'll see David as well. There's going to be major upheaval with John's real family, and with his new found family on Atlantis. I have a couple key scenes already written for it.

And in this 'verse John's mother is dead - was killed in a Clan war. Car bomb. Almost took out John as well when he was five. That will be mentioned as well.

This AU is awesome! I love how you've got both the human/animal elements present in your shifters and you show their abilities in the tiny details. I'm curious about the idea of a werewolverine...

Ah, yes, the werewolverine - he's short, likes cigars and beer, hairy, got a helluva attitude.... ;)
