I'm still alive

Been in a deep black funk, and in pain, and not feeling social at all.  Plus I found the dessicated corpse of my muse behind the couch along with a few cat hair dust bunnies.

My girl summed up my mood last night:

Sparky sympathizes. And so do I. Been there, done that. You come through it eventually-I just hope it's sooner rather than later!

Thank you, and muchly appreciated. Gyah, I hardly visit LJ since my muse has been dead, so I apologize for my tardiness in my reply.

Thank you so so much. Pain sucks the soul right outta ya, I swear.

Tika does have a vast amount of cutiness, and she's getting to be a cuddle monster. But I don't mind. My other Manx was my *cough20lbcough* lap kitty, and I've been missing that.

Had a funny thought - when I get my McKeague stuff published, I'll have the experience of people probably writing slash fanfic with him and Max. Heeeee.

You don't know me but I'm a fan of your fics. I've recently delurked this past year but am very slow at going back through read fics to provide feedback/comments (RL keeps getting in the way.) Anyway, I just wanted to say that I hope you get back on your feet again. It's not easy but hang in there. I also loved what you wrote on the Sex not Stargates article (I believe that was you.) The article was lighthearted but inaccurate. Yes, lots of fans go there to oogle the stars (I was one of them) but she never bothered to ask us our reasons or to test out the intelligence level of the audience. What a shame. But thanks again for putting your two eloquent cents in there!

Awwww, thank you! And yes, that was me commenting on that article and unleashing the Snark Side of the Force for a moment. (Can't help it, call it a character flaw.) The muse actually twitched the other day and I did write a couple hundred words on the next Untamed Universe story, but then it gasped, rolled over, and went catatonic again. I tried poking it with a stick, but it's already got so many holes in it, it just doesn't work anymore.

Maybe I should find a sharper stick....

Yes, a sharper stick... with barbs!

The Untamed 'verse is one of my all time favs (AU or not). That and the Guardian series bring in the right amount of humor, action, world building and lovely Shep whump (swoons) that hits me in the right spot! (An early 'thank you' before I can get to your fics again for proper comments)... and I'm not doing this to bribe you in any way. But if it works? Perfect!

Hmmm, yes ... barbs. Barbs would stick.

The Guardian series was fun in that I could use my anthropology edjulcation and do double Shep whump. ;) And the Untamed 'verse, well, it's allowing me to stir elements of my original fic into the Atlantis pot. Now, if I can get the muse rolling again, I have 9 more story ideas....

Oh lordy.
