I don't think anyone from LJ is reading anything anyone is posting - but if they are, I really hope they find your open letter. It's charming and on-point.
I don't think they are either. I just have a long-running problem with any company's failure of public relations when it comes to LiveJournal. SixApart was notorious for this sort of thing when they had the company years ago and it was only worse right before they sold it off. SUP hasn't been much better since they got it. Honestly, I think most, if not all, of their big public outbreaks like this could be handled through simple common sense.
