were there many animals in the drive through reserve? Last time we were up, it was mostly empty, i think some of the herds were being rehomed.
I think we'll take a trip up there once mercedes is rehomed, i think they're getting camels at some point too. If you want I'll give you a shout when we're going up, if you want to hitch a lift
About three of the paddocks were empty as they are trying to remove ragwort. The elk aren't currently visible. The wolves have moved but you can still see them, and the boar will be leaving soon. They have bactrian camels, red deer, yak, bison, european reindeer, bukhara deer, takin, kiang (related to donkeys) and some sort of wild horse. All of the herds are quite small, except the red deer.
That's a really nice offer - we're zoo members; if you're not, I'll find out if we can get you a discount on entry to the Park (in the same way we can at the Zoo).
yeah, we were members too last year, and got our money's worth i think :)
I think I'll probably get another year's membership next time we go, either to there, or to Edin, it works out a lot cheaper, plus i like to just wander around with no rush :)
