Just to say that my McShep Match Team McKay interview is now up HERE. (for those interested)

Also, I've posted a few lovely Blu-ray screencaps this week at daily_flan, mcshep_monday, and sgateam_tuesday - you should go check them out. Having a Blu-ray player built into my PC, I definitely see the new SGA DVD set in my immediate future. *counts pennies*

Once I read a report of someone playing them on a Region B player, I immediately ordered my set.

Just hope I can really play them. The SGA Fan Choice Blu-Ray did not work for me, though Joe's "Change of Plans" did. *keeps fingers crossed for both of us*

I hope you will be able to play them. I'm still trying to budget the purchase around Squee Weekend and household bills, but I will have the set... oh, yes!

Yes, they play! The quality is so good, it's distracting, and unfortunately not just in a good way. In that one scene in The Defiant One where John is crouching next to a rock, you could really see the foam/styropor look of the "rock".

And in other scenes I really felt that the lightning was so harsh that it highlighted that it was shot in a studio. Maybe it's because I just sampled a few seconds instead of actually watching. E.g. when I watched a scene in Harmony, I paid attention to the scene and I didn't notice it there. (Of course, much of that was shot on location I think and in the dark cave, so maybe it's just not as obvious there.)

In any case, I now have all five season in the best quality possible. If I ever need a particular screenshot, I can now be sure to get exactly what I want without Network logos (though there's still the credits, of course).

I'm not sure if all extras are on it. Do you happen to know in which special they had the Joe/David hug?
