Okay, so most people know that I have an unabashed lady boner for all things G.I. Joe. I even liked the live action movie, which managed to exceed my (incredibly low) expectations and ended up being a really fun, if incredibly stupid movie. It gave me exactly what I wanted though - fucking laser beams, ridiculous grandiose schemes, and shirtless

Totally fucking random you don't know says: I've been watching more episodes out of boredom, and I don't think it gets much better. Scarlett and Jinx have a really stupid catfight over Snake Eyes. Duke is a selfish prick, but it's sentimental and christmassy, so everyone seems to just forgive it. Roadblock's heavy metal music is somehow the perfect sound-whatever to counteract Cobra's brainwashing. Snake Eyes continues to save everyone's asses, making the entire team redundant. The entire. Team. And when they write an episode about a character's backround, it's all shoved into an episode at once. And they do one character after another. Episodes x and x+1 are Snake Eyes-centric. You learn ALL about him, no more mystery at all, we're not even ten episodes in, the end. Episodes x+2 and x+3 are Duke-centric. You learn more about Duke than you ever wanted to know. The end. And so on, and so forth.

The characters could be great, the art is gorgeous, but the writing is so awful that I want to gag more often than not. Arg.

Wow, this IS random but thanks for the tip-off. Every so often I get the urge to watch more and then I remind myself that I would probably end up throwing something through a window. Aaaaand I see from your brief summary that I'm probably right. Not surprised at all.
