tinnny in Munich yesterday. We talked about lots of fannish and some not-so-fannish things, and didn't even have any of the long, awkward silences that tend to happen when you meet internet-people for the first time. I keep envying people on lj, too. There I'll be reading someone's post about their cats and their homework or something, and suddenly they'll say things like "And then I went outside and watched the aurora borealis for an hour", or "The view from my window is really nice today - the Golden Gate Bridge was all shiny in the sun", like it's no big deal at all...

Hee! //) The sad thing is, I've lived here for 8 years and still haven't seen all that much of the city. And I didn't know where to go with Neery, either. We just picked random cafes. :) Which was fun, too. :)
And I do envy you all those cool conventions you get all the time. The few that are actually scheduled for Germany either are unaffordable or get cancelled. (there might be a connection! :) )
And you know what? When I come to the US the next time, I'll come visit you.
