Nothing like objectifying women. The local football team announced yesterday that they were going to have a 'Mardi Gras style' promotion at each home game. Men in the rowdiest section of the stands will be given beads, yep, beads and the chick that collects the most beads at the end of the game will win a thousand dollars. Okay, so let me get this straight. They're having a Mrdi Gras thing at the game; but, "toplessness" is not involved???? Yeah, right.

It was sooo nice of them to move the families to a different spot. Yeah, right.

OMG this reeks of objectification. Ugh. So sorry to hear about that. Maybe enough people will protest and it won't happen. Yeah, right. Ugh.

Well hubby for one has decided that if it isn't cancelled, we are either cancelling this years season's tickets or not renewing next year, and making sure they know why. My family has had tickets for over 30 years.

That's disgusting--they (the idiots who thought up this "promotion" should be bitch slapped and forced to parade around the men's locker with their pants down! ;)

I agree with the bitch slapping, however, given the jock mentality, I don't think the parading would affect them much. My thinking is more along the lines of throwing them sans pants into the women's soccer team locker room. Or for that matter, strapping them naked to the side of a bus or something evil involving honey, their privates and fire ants.... okay, I'll stop now *g*
