Oohh, I *really* want to see the Love Machine! I have heard that Dyan Cannon was epically awful in it. And I'll basically watch John Phillip Law recite from the Manhatten yellow pages, as long as he does it in tight, revealing clothing!
Last time I check, the movie was only available through pricey old VHS copies that probably aren't very good. We need a DVD of this classic, YESTERDAY!
I COMPLETELY agree with you that THE LOVE MACHINE is an unsung classic. I didn't see it for years because TLM is my least favorite Jackie Susann book, and I heard that it was worse than the movie version of ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH...when I saw it I was blown away! It's genius! And, IMO, John Phillip Law was never sexier (or more robotic).
If you find Peter Allen's PRETTY, PRETTY let me know. I, of course, love the Helen Reddy version. Half the time when I prepare to go out (which, these days, happens once every six months) I hear that song playing in my head. For better or worse.

Thanks a mill for that link and I can't believe I now have the entire LOVE MACHINE soundtrack! Yes, if I come across Peter Allen's "Pretty Pretty" I'll be sure to let you know. I've been a a bit of a lucky streak as of late finding music I've been searching for for ages on the "internets" so ::fingers crossed::

I'd adore a LOVE MACHINE dvd with commentary by Charles Busch and/or John Waters. That would almost too divine for words.
