Enric is coming to visit tomorrow. He's staying for the weekend.
I still can't walk. I can get around the house, to the bathroom, but it aches, it's hard to straighten up so I walk bent over and I doubt I could even walk up the street.
I'm a bit worried and sad about that.
We'll see.

Mood wise things are still fine. It's... strange. Like suddenly ( Read more... )

"Water for Elephants" is a good book. I also liked "Sister India". Hope the good feelings continue for you! :)

Thank you so much. I just read some reviews of both of these on amazon. The latter is too expensive but Water for Elephants sounds really good, and reasonable price, I'm considering getting it :)

You can get second hand books on ebay for like 50p each somtimes, check it out, also your lovely boring town MUST have some charity shops, they are the best place to get books cheaply and you can see them all there in front of you and read the blurbs and stuff. Would your mum go with you to look?

Actually the reason I'm bothered about the price is mostly because I've got about £24 in (free!) amazon vouchers at the moment and I thought it'd be cool to buy a couple books with some of it. So they don't have to be cheap books, but the cheaper they are the more I can have. Sister India, the one asti suggested, was £10 so I didn't think it'd be worth it. Around £5 is fine though.
I might check out our charity shops next time I'm in town though, for some extra books, that's a good idea and something I've not done in years!

I'll look up those authors (tomorrow though because I really need to be in bed now!).... but I have to be honest, you've made me wonder if you are prehaps a reliable person to ask about good books, as you've just suggested I read bloody sense & sensibility and pride & prejudice!! Shocking, dear!! lol.
Yeah, I'm not too into 'classic' books. My mum loves p&p, don't think she has read it, but loves the film, maybe it's worth buying it for her to read??

And ... been crippled since saturday afternoon, lol. So 5 and a half days, insane! I'm really hoping it will be much better tomorrow. I'm not in constant pain but I think if I attempted walking any distance I might be. I'll have to try, though. I think tomorrow the plan is just get a lift to the cinema so hopefully my back can manage that :)

Hope you have a good weekend also x

Mm yes perhaps our tastes are different then. I frickin love the classics, they are such great stories and so beautifully written, I usually alternate in the books I read one classic, one modern, one classic etc. I'm nearly finished oliver twist right now, I have a modern one next then The Hobbit after that!

Tbh I haven't read many good books in the last year, I've been reading whatever I could find on hostel bookshelves and let me tell you, they don't have the greatest selection often!
I'll try to have a think let you know if I think of any good ones :)
