1.1.01.01.026: handkerchiefs may be patterned.

Uh... is there anyone that hasn't turned up yet in this flood? I'm just worried that if some people are really small they might not be able to get their communicators or out the door.

[Private to the Admiral]

Could I... possibly have some clothes suitable for a two year old girl. Whatever's standard issue, I suppose. Without frills or anything. ( Read more... )

definitely a prefect, complimentary colours, how can this possibly go wrong?, secretly a victorian

Even if they're not really small, there could be trouble. If they've gone the opposite direction, I mean.

Uh... yes, I suppose there would. Especially if they're past the retirement age.

The original question still stands, though.

Well, it's a useless comment, but I don't know of anyone gone missing just yet. Keep looking, though. These floods are tricky.

I'm keeping my eye out. It's...worth doing.

Are you alright?

I mean, anyone we haven't heard from or seen?

In that case, there always is, yeah.

...well, is nobody looking for them or making sure they're okay?

[Jane tried to peer over his shoulder after that post.] What are you doing? I want to do it.

I'm bored.

I was checking on other people. [He's sat on the floor nearby,] We could play a game. If you want. [He still wasn't sure how to deal with a kid with Jane inside, because it was a fineline between looking after her and treating her like an actual child.]

What game? [She sat back, swinging her feet.] Is it a fun game?

I'm not sure. Um... [He paused, trying to think of a game he could play with a little kid, then went to his valise, looking for something to play with. Nothing much. At least, nothing safe.]

How about. I'm a monster. You've got to chase me and stop me. [He made a monster face and raised his hands like claws.] Or I'm going to... eat all the bacon.

[This worked. Right?]

I can't find Prefect, but I think he's just drinking in his room again.

Do you want me to see if I can get in his room?

Nah, it's cool. I'm not worried. He just does stuff like this sometimes.

But he equally could be a kid, and stuck.

[pause]

Do you know how old he is normally?

I am old but well. It seems that I am only to be cursed with aches. How does Jane fare?

Well enough. I'm looking after her as best as I can.

Aches are usual. My dad says that to the older patients all the time. although they are mostly Greys, and I imagine that's a condition of working

Do you need anything?

Children at that age are most energetic. Perhaps she ought to be taken to the greenhouse?

I have taken much aspirin. It is produced in the infirmary and is most helpful.

I might take her to the colour garden. You can come along if you wish.

[linefacelineface]

And you made sure it was aspirin?
