I was wondering. Everyone seems to have a lot of questions and concerns with this place, and I think it's brilliant that... we ask them and look into them. But I was wondering if we could perhaps coordinate this in some way. At home, I suggested a Question Club. Where anyone could come along and ask questions ( Read more... )

My apologies, so you are aware? But are you aware how long it took for us to even get him to leave his room? A flash of impolite is understandable.

I am aware as far as I have notes, and would like to learn more on the matter.

Look, as understandable as it may be, I wasn't going to stand by and let him use that kind of language towards anyone. They're my ground rules, let me set them.

He had to burn himself to be released. He would refuse to leave his room for any reason until he'd gotten it repaired and then she gloated over what she did to him.

Why did she do it? Do you know?

I'm Sarah Harding - Amanda Young's warden. You should know, ah...everyone has difficulties with Amanda.

I've noticed, but Victor seems to have had specific difficulties with her. Something about having his face attacked by her. Was this some kind of retribution for something, or... do you know?

I will talk to him about it, but I don't think I'm going to get a comprehensive, unbiased answer there.

I don't know the whole story. She was just assigned to me last month and...it's been a little rough.

Molly Carpenter was her warden before me, and...Ariadne, I think. Not necessarily in that order. Someone else, too. I'd have to check her file to be sure.

Right. Who was her warden when this happened?

Didn't they tell you the whole story?

Yo. Yeah, Rex and Frankenstein have had all kinds of crap going on between them.

Re: Private needshumility April 15 2011, 17:37:06 UTC
I've heard about some of it.

What I understand so far is that Victor perceived Rex's injuries as somehow making him sub-human, and Amanda then took it upon herself to burn his face to prove a point? There was some kind of death trap involved too.

Is that right? And what's happened since then between them? Is that something I need to address?

Yeah, basically, when Rex and Victor first met, Rex had undergone surgery to heal his face, and they got on pretty good. Then Rex went home for a bit, and came back scarred, and Victor started calling him a monster, and harassing him publicly. When his warden told him to knock it off, he started doing it privately ( ... )

Re: Private - ack, forgot to reply to this. needshumility April 16 2011, 15:04:16 UTC
I see.

Do you think he didn't get an apology because Victor's initial apology didn't seem sincere, so there was no need to return the favour? Or is it something more than that?

Does he still harass Rex on the subject? Would you prefer it if I told him not to talk to Rex, or to try and resolve things with him instead? I'd much prefer if they were resolved, but I don't want to cause your inmate any further trouble either. Either way, I'll have to talk to him, I'm just trying to work out where everything stands, if you don't mind.

I also don't think I got your name. I'm Eddie Russett.

I've been sitting with a dictionary all morning.

What's Switzerland, do you think?

I don't know. A place? It has "land" in it.

Their names are so strange. I think I will need my own dictionary for this.

It sounds like a place. It's where he's from. I was just wondering what it was like.

I've had to take one from the library, as I was sick of spending half my day in there.

How's the ankle?

...Your dead children?

Well, I don't mean any offence by this, Miss, but I'd quite prefer it if you didn't ask him to give your dead children life at all.

Why not?

You should understand, also, that my maker, Vladislaus, who has newly arrived, will know of him. But this... This Doctor claims not to be the one with whom we bargained.

Because bringing the dead back to life is where things started to go wrong for him. I don't want you asking him to do that.

Wait... you knew him before but he didn't know you?
