After school, Mia headed off to Tess' place instead of the Watchtower.  It would be the first time she'd ever really set foot there and she was curious to see what it was like.  Obviously Tess had done well for herself.  The guards at the entrance to the mansion let her inside without a murmur.

"Yes, it matters," Tess replies immediately, and a little angrily. "If you don't know what you're messing with, you don't know what you're opening yourself up to."

"I know Michael," Mia retorts, beginning to get a little pissed off herself at all this doubt Tess is throwing at her. "He wouldn't be messing with anything bad. We were helping people get their home back."

Tess sighs, starting to calm down a little. "I don't mean that it's bad or that you weren't trying to help. But if you don't understand the magic you use, you have no idea if you're putting yourself in danger at the same time. These things are very serious."

"We knew what we were doing," Mia insists. "And I'll have an even better idea about what I'm getting into next time, because I'll have done it once already. So there's nothing to worry about."
