Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Yes. I am pathetic re:LJ skills. But that's not the point. The point is, I'm shell-shocked at the moment. I haven't felt this out of my body for months.

The Half-Blood Prince is shorter than Order of the Phoenix or Goblet of Fire, which was a cause for concern. I was afraid at the time that JK might trim off too much flesh, or even vital flesh. However, this is not the case: she has instead merely stripped all padding off of her literary lead pipe before beating you about the head and chest with it, and damn you if I'm mixing my metaphor, that's entirely besides the point.

I'd say more, but I run the risk of spoilers, and I don't know how to remove such a risk.

Oh. And the title, at first seemingly petty (even compared to "Goblet of Fire", which is a nice title but not really the point of "Goblet of Fire", is perhaps ultimatly the best titled book of the series. I shall say no more. Me word on it.
